Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin
- ½ lb deli ham
- 8 oz cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Cut the 1 lb beef sirloin into 1-inch cubes and the 8 oz cheddar cheese into similar-sized squares. Slice the 0.5 lb ham into thick strips, then fold each strip into a small bundle.
- 2
In a large bowl, combine the 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, 0.5 tsp salt, and 0.5 tsp black pepper. Add the beef cubes and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate at room temperature for 15 minutes.
- 3
Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes beforehand.
- 4
Thread the skewers, alternating beef, ham, and cheese, pressing them snugly together. Aim for about 4 pieces of each per skewer, leaving a small gap at both ends.
- 5
Grill the skewers for 8-10 minutes total, turning every 2-3 minutes, until the beef is browned and cooked to your liking and the cheese is melted and slightly charred at the edges.
- 6
Remove from the grill and let rest for 3 minutes. Serve hot, with extra smoked paprika sprinkled on top if desired.
