Ingredients

  • 2 fillets (6 oz each) salmon fillets, skin-on
  • 3 tbsp, divided butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 to taste salt and black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat salmon dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

Heat 1 tbsp butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high until foaming, about 90 seconds.

  3. 3

Place salmon skin-side up in the skillet. Sear 3–4 minutes without moving until skin is golden and crispy.

  4. 4

Flip salmon skin-side down. Cook 2–3 minutes until the center is opaque and firm to the touch.

  5. 5

Transfer salmon to a plate. Reduce heat to medium.

  6. 6

Add remaining 2 tbsp butter and garlic to the skillet. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

  7. 7

Whisk in honey and lemon juice. Simmer 30 seconds, then taste and adjust salt and pepper.

  8. 8

Return salmon to the skillet skin-side down. Tilt the pan and spoon the warm sauce over the fillets.

  9. 9

Divide between two plates. Spoon extra sauce over top and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
