Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 tbsp cold butter, cubed
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ cup jam (any flavor)
  • ½ cup heavy cream, chilled

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat oven to 400°F. Mix flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.

  2. 2

Cut cold butter into the flour with a fork until the mixture looks like coarse breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

Pour in milk and stir gently until a shaggy dough forms. Do not overmix.

  4. 4

Drop 8 golf-ball-size portions onto a baking sheet. Bake until golden brown, about 12 minutes.
