Ingredients
- 4 pieces idli
- ½ cup toor dal
- 1 cup mixed vegetables
- 1 tbsp sambar powder
- ½ cup coconut chutney
- ½ cup tomato chutney

In a pot, combine 0.5 cup toor dal, 1 cup mixed vegetables, 1 tbsp sambar powder, and 2 cups water. Bring to a boil, then simmer until dal is soft and vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes.

While sambar cooks, steam 4 idli pieces according to package instructions until fluffy and cooked through, about 10 minutes.

Serve the hot idli on a plate with 0.5 cup coconut chutney and 0.5 cup tomato chutney on the side. Pour the sambar over or alongside, and garnish with curry leaves and a lime wedge if desired.
