Ingredients
- 400 g herring fillets (marinated or pickled)
- 200 g sour cream
- 1 medium red onion
- 2 tbsp fresh dill
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper

Drain the 400g herring fillets and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a serving dish.

Thinly slice the 1 red onion and add to the herring, mixing gently.

In a small bowl, combine the 200g sour cream, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 0.5 tsp salt, and 0.25 tsp black pepper. Stir until smooth.

Pour the sour cream mixture over the herring and onions, stirring to coat everything evenly.

Chop the 2 tbsp fresh dill and sprinkle over the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
