Ingredients

  • 2 lb clams
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp dried chili flakes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. 1

Scrub the 2 lb clams under cold water and discard any that are open or cracked. Set aside.

  2. 2

Heat the 2 tbsp olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the 6 minced garlic cloves and 1 tsp chili flakes; cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  3. 3

Add the 0.5 cup white wine and bring to a simmer. Add the clams, cover, and cook until they open, about 5-7 minutes, shaking the pot occasionally.

  4. 4

Discard any clams that haven't opened. Stir in the 0.25 cup chopped parsley and serve immediately with crusty bread or over pasta.

  5. 5

    Enjoy your garlic clams!
