Ingredients

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder

    Divide flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking powder between two microwave-safe mugs.

    Pour milk into a small bowl, add butter and vanilla, then stir until butter is mostly melted.

    Pour wet mixture into each mug and stir until just combined—batter should look thick and fudgy.
