Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 whole eggs
  • ¾ cup pecans, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

    Melt butter and chopped chocolate together in a bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth.

    Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.

    Stir eggs into the chocolate mixture until combined, then fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
