Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • ½ lb ground pork
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups green cabbage
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Mince the 3 garlic cloves. Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until golden and crispy, about 2 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

  2. 2

Increase heat to high. Add 1 tbsp vegetable oil to the pan. Add 0.5 lb ground pork and spread into a single layer. Cook without stirring for 2 minutes, then break up and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 4 minutes.

  3. 3

Push meat to one side. Crack 2 eggs into the empty side and scramble them until just set, about 1 minute. Mix eggs into the meat.

  4. 4

Add 3 cups cooked rice and 2 tbsp soy sauce. Toss everything together, breaking up clumps, until rice is evenly coated and heated through, about 3 minutes.

  5. 5

Add 2 cups shredded cabbage and stir-fry until slightly wilted but still crisp, about 2 minutes. Season with 0.5 tsp salt.

  6. 6

Serve hot, topped with the crispy garlic.

  7. 7

Optional: add a pinch of white pepper or a splash of fish sauce for extra flavor.
