Ingredients

  • 4 fillets white fish fillets
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the 4 fish fillets dry with paper towels. In a shallow dish, mix the 0.5 cup flour, 1 tsp paprika, 0.5 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp salt, and 0.5 tsp black pepper.

  2. 2

Dredge each fillet in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Set them aside on a plate while the oil heats.

  3. 3

Heat the 0.25 cup vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes. The oil should sizzle when a pinch of flour is added.

  4. 4

Carefully place the fillets in the hot oil in a single layer, without crowding. Cook until the bottom is golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.

  5. 5

Flip the fillets and cook the other side until golden and the fish flakes easily with a fork, about 3-4 more minutes.

  6. 6

Transfer the fried fish to a paper-towel-lined plate to drain. Sprinkle with the 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.
