- 18 g espresso beans
- 36 ml water

Grind the 18 g espresso beans to a fine, powdery consistency, like table salt, just before brewing.

Fill the espresso machine's water tank with fresh, cold water and turn it on to preheat for about 15 minutes.

Place the ground coffee into the portafilter and tamp it firmly and evenly with about 30 pounds of pressure.

Lock the portafilter into the group head and place a warm espresso cup underneath the spout.

Start the extraction and brew for 25-30 seconds, stopping when you have about 36 ml of espresso with a golden-brown crema on top.

Serve immediately, with a spoon for stirring if desired.
