Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ¾ cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg white
  • 4 tbsp neutral oil, divided

Instructions

  1. 1

Toss broccoli with 1 tbsp oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a sheet pan and roast at 425°F for 12 minutes until edges char.

  2. 2

Combine honey, rice vinegar, and 1 tbsp water in a small bowl. Set the sauce aside.

  3. 3

Pat shrimp dry. Mix flour with a pinch of salt in one shallow bowl, egg white in another, chopped walnuts in a third.

  4. 4

Coat each shrimp in flour, shake off excess, dip in egg white, then press into walnuts until fully coated.

  5. 5

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high until shimmering. Working in batches, pan-fry shrimp 90 seconds per side until golden and cooked through.

  6. 6

Pour honey sauce into the skillet with shrimp, toss gently for 30 seconds until glossy. Serve shrimp and sauce over roasted broccoli.
