Ingredients

  • 2 fillets (6 oz each) catfish fillets
  • ¾ cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp cajun seasoning
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 whole lemon
  • 2 tbsp neutral cooking oil

Instructions

    Mix chopped pecans and cajun seasoning in a shallow bowl. Beat egg in another bowl.

    Pat catfish dry. Dip each fillet in egg, then press firmly into pecan mixture, coating all sides.

    Heat oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high until shimmering, about 90 seconds.

    Slide catfish into the skillet. Sear 3 minutes per side without moving until golden brown and cooked through.
