Ingredients
- 2 lb clams
- 1 cup white wine
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 stalks green onions
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 loaf crusty bread
Instructions
- 1
Scrub the 2 lb clams under cold water, discarding any that are open or cracked. Slice the 3 garlic cloves and chop the 4 green onions, separating white and green parts.
- 2
Melt the 2 tbsp butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the garlic and white parts of the green onions, cooking until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- 3
Pour in the 1 cup white wine and bring to a simmer. Add the clams, cover, and cook until they open, about 5-7 minutes, shaking the pot occasionally.
- 4
Discard any clams that stay closed. Sprinkle with the green onion tops and serve immediately with the crusty bread for dipping.
