Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 375°F. On a lightly floured surface, roll the 1 lb pizza dough into a 12x10-inch rectangle.
- 2
Sprinkle the 1 cup chocolate chips evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides.
- 3
Starting from a long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seam to seal.
- 4
Using a sharp knife, cut the log in half lengthwise, exposing the chocolate layers. Turn the cut sides up.
- 5
Twist the two halves together, keeping the cut sides facing up, then shape into a braid and tuck the ends under.
- 6
Transfer the braid to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Whisk the 1 egg with 1 tbsp water and brush over the top.
- 7
Bake until deep golden brown and puffed, 25-30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before slicing.
