Ingredients

  • 12 pierogies frozen cheese pierogies
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ medium red onion
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the 12 frozen pierogies and cook until they float, about 3-4 minutes. Drain well.

  2. 2

Heat the 1 tbsp vegetable oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the drained pierogies in a single layer and cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.

  3. 3

While the pierogies cook, finely chop the 0.5 medium red onion and the 2 tbsp fresh dill. Stir the dill into the 0.5 cup sour cream.

  4. 4

Serve the hot pierogies topped with the sour cream mixture and a sprinkle of chopped red onion. Add a drizzle of ketchup or paprika if you like.
