Ingredients

  • 1 lb roasted char siu (Chinese BBQ pork), shredded
  • 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp flour (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 4 whole store-bought buns (4 soft rolls or pineapple buns)

Instructions

    Stir hoisin and honey into the shredded pork until glossy and coated.

    Mix flour and water into a thick paste. Slice buns in half horizontally and brush paste on the top half only.

    Heat oil in a skillet over medium. Place buns paste-side down and toast 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.

    Fill each bun bottom with a generous spoonful of char siu pork. Sandwich with the crispy toasted top.
