Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese
- 6 oz artichoke hearts
- 1 red bell pepper
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 475°F with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside. Roll out the 1 lb pizza dough on a floured surface to a 12-inch round.
- 2
Transfer dough to a piece of parchment paper. Spread 1/2 cup tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.
- 3
Tear 8 oz mozzarella into pieces and scatter over the sauce. Drain and quarter the 6 oz artichoke hearts, then arrange them on top.
- 4
Slice the 1 red bell pepper into thin strips and scatter over the pizza. Drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil.
- 5
Slide the pizza (with parchment) onto the hot stone or sheet. Bake until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and browned in spots, 12-15 minutes.
- 6
Remove from oven and let cool for 2 minutes. Scatter 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves over the hot pizza before slicing and serving.
