Ingredients
- 4 pork cutlets
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 onion
- 1 green bell pepper
- ½ cup barbecue sauce
- 4 sandwich buns
Instructions
- 1
Pound the 4 pork cutlets to an even 1/4-inch thickness. Set up a breading station with 0.5 cup flour in one dish, 2 beaten eggs in another, and 1 cup breadcrumbs in a third.
- 2
Dredge each cutlet in the flour, then dip in the egg, then press into the breadcrumbs until fully coated. Set the breaded cutlets aside on a plate.
- 3
Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Cook the cutlets in a single layer, about 3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (no pink inside). Transfer to a plate.
- 4
In the same skillet, add the 1 sliced onion and 1 sliced green pepper. Sauté over medium heat until soft and lightly charred, about 5 minutes.
- 5
Spread 2 tbsp barbecue sauce on the bottom of each of the 4 buns. Place a cutlet on each, then top with the onion-pepper mixture and the remaining barbecue sauce.
- 6
Close the sandwiches and serve warm.
