Ingredients
- 4 pieces thin pork or chicken cutlets
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup milk

Season the 4 cutlets with salt and pepper. Beat the 1 egg in a shallow dish, place the 1 cup breadcrumbs on a plate. Dip each cutlet in egg, then press into breadcrumbs to coat both sides.

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Cook the breaded cutlets until golden and cooked through, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.

In the same skillet, melt the 2 tbsp butter over medium. Whisk in the 2 tbsp flour and cook for 1 minute until bubbly. Slowly whisk in the 1 cup milk, stirring until the sauce thickens, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
