Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- ½ cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil

Cook the 8 oz spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.

While pasta cooks, heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add 1 diced onion and cook until soft, about 4 minutes.

Add 1 lb ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it up, until browned and no longer pink, about 6 minutes.

Stir in 2 cups tomato sauce and simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Toss the drained spaghetti with the sauce, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed. Serve topped with 1/2 cup grated Parmesan.
