Ingredients

  • 1 loaf round sourdough loaf
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 6 oz blue cheese crumbles
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp chives
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut a circle in the top of the 1 sourdough loaf, about 4 inches wide, and pull out the bread inside to make a bowl. Tear the removed bread into chunks for dipping.

  2. 2

In a bowl, mix 8 oz cream cheese, 1 cup sour cream, 4 oz of the blue cheese, 2 minced garlic cloves, 2 tbsp chopped chives, and 0.5 tsp black pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

Spoon the mixture into the bread bowl and place it on a baking sheet. Sprinkle the remaining 2 oz blue cheese on top.

  4. 4

Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the dip is hot and bubbly and the bread edges are golden and crisp.

  5. 5

Serve warm with the bread chunks and extra veggies for dipping. The bread bowl will soften as you scoop—enjoy every bit!
