Ingredients

  • 2 cups Belgian waffle mix
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your Belgian waffle iron. In a large bowl, whisk together the 2 cups waffle mix, 1.5 cups water, 1 egg, and 2 tbsp vegetable oil until just combined; a few lumps are fine.

  2. 2

Pour about 1/2 cup of batter onto the hot waffle iron, close, and cook until golden brown and crisp, about 4-5 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.

  3. 3

Top each warm waffle with a generous handful of the 1 cup blackberries and dust with the 1 tbsp powdered sugar. Serve immediately.

  4. 4

If you like, add a drizzle of maple syrup or a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence.
