Ingredients

  • ½ lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 6 cups fresh spinach
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. 1

In a pot, heat 1 tsp sesame oil over medium. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and 2 sliced green onions, cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  2. 2

Add 4 cups beef broth and 2 tbsp soy sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

Add 0.5 lb thinly sliced beef to the broth. Cook until beef is just pink no more, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

Stir in 6 cups fresh spinach. Cook until wilted, about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. 5

Ladle soup into bowls. Garnish with remaining sliced green onion and 1 tsp sesame seeds. Serve hot.
