Ingredients
- 1 whole English muffin
- 2 slices bacon
- 1 large egg
- 1 slice cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Cook the 2 bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
- 2
Split the English muffin and toast it in a toaster or under a broiler until golden, about 2-3 minutes. Spread 1 tbsp butter on the cut sides.
- 3
Pour out most of the bacon fat, leaving about 1 tsp in the skillet. Crack the 1 egg into the skillet and cook over medium heat until the white is set, about 3 minutes. Season with 0.25 tsp salt and 0.25 tsp black pepper.
- 4
Flip the egg and place the 1 slice cheddar cheese on top. Cook until the cheese melts and the yolk is cooked to your liking, about 1-2 minutes.
- 5
Place the bacon on the bottom half of the English muffin, top with the cheesy egg, and close with the top half. Serve hot.
