Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage, bulk or casings removed
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) canned white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or dried Italian seasoning

Instructions

    Brown sausage in a large pot over medium-high, breaking it up as it cooks, 6–8 minutes until no pink remains.

    Add diced onion to the pot. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened.

    Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

    Pour in broth and add beans with their liquid, thyme, salt, and pepper.

    Bring to a simmer and cook uncovered for 8–10 minutes until flavors meld.
