- 1 lb Italian sausage, bulk or casings removed
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (15 oz each) canned white beans, drained and rinsed
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp fresh thyme or dried Italian seasoning

Brown sausage in a large pot over medium-high, breaking it up as it cooks, 6–8 minutes until no pink remains.

Add diced onion to the pot. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened.
