Walking Taco Casserole
Layers of crushed Fritos, seasoned ground beef, cheese, and sour cream baked into a crispy-bottomed, melty casserole. Serve straight from the pan with all your taco toppings on the side.

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning packet (or 2 tbsp homemade mix)
- 3 cups Fritos corn chips, crushed
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup salsa (mild or medium)
- 0 salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350°F. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add ground beef, breaking up with a spoon, until no pink remains, ~6 minutes.

Stir in taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Simmer 2 minutes until fragrant.

Spread 1 cup crushed Fritos in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Layer the cooked beef evenly over the Fritos.

Dollop sour cream over beef, then spread gently to cover.

Pour salsa over the sour cream layer.

Top with 1.5 cups cheese, then scatter remaining 2 cups Fritos on top.
