Ingredients

  • 12 oz paneer, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 whole green chilies, sliced
  • 1 medium carrots, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups red cabbage, shredded
  • ½ medium yellow onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 1 minute.

  2. 2

Toss paneer cubes with turmeric and a pinch of salt, then add to the pan in a single layer.

  3. 3

Sear paneer without stirring until golden on all sides, about 6 minutes total, flipping once halfway.

  4. 4

Push paneer to the side, add carrots, cabbage, onions, and green chilies to the empty space.

  5. 5

Toss vegetables with a pinch of salt and cook, stirring occasionally, until cabbage wilts and carrots are tender-crisp, 4 minutes.

  6. 6

Serve the paneer and vegetables hot, with a squeeze of lemon if you have it.
