Ingredients

  • 8 oz paneer, cubed
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ½ medium yellow onion, minced
  • 1.5 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • ½ tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wide skillet over medium heat until shimmering, about 90 seconds.

  2. 2

Add minced onion and cook, stirring, until soft and just beginning to turn golden, 4 minutes.

  3. 3

Stir in ginger-garlic paste and turmeric powder, cooking until fragrant, about 45 seconds.

  4. 4

Pour in cream and add 0.25 cup water. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  5. 5

Gently fold in paneer cubes and simmer for 6 minutes until sauce thickens and paneer absorbs flavors.

  6. 6

Crush kasuri methi between your fingers over the pan and stir once. Serve hot over rice or with naan.
