- 1 pound shredded wheat (kadayıf)
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 2 cups milk
- ½ cup semolina
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup pistachios, ground

In a saucepan, combine 2 cups milk, 1 cup sugar, and 0.5 cup semolina. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbling, about 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup heavy cream. Let cool completely; the filling will thicken further as it cools.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Gently separate the shredded wheat strands and spread them on a work surface. Brush with 0.5 cup melted butter.

Divide the shredded wheat into 8 portions. Place a spoonful of filling along one edge of each portion, then roll up tightly into a log shape.
