Ingredients

  • 1 lb Store-bought pizza dough (thawed if frozen)
  • ½ lb Ground beef
  • ¼ lb Turkish sausage or spicy sausage, diced
  • ¾ cup Crumbled feta or white cheese
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ tsp Sumac or lemon zest

Instructions

  1. 1

Brown ground beef and sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking up with a spoon, until no pink remains, ~6 minutes.

  2. 2

Drain excess fat. Stir in feta and parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

Divide dough in half. Shape each into a 6-inch oval boat, pinching the long edges up slightly to form a rim.

  4. 4

Place pides on a sheet pan. Spoon meat mixture down the center of each, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides.

  5. 5

Crack 1 egg into the center of each pide. Bake at 425°F until edges are golden and egg whites are set, ~10 minutes.

  6. 6

Sprinkle sumac or lemon zest over the top. Serve immediately while edges are still crispy.
