Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked turkey, shredded or diced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • ¾ cup diced carrot
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 sheet puff pastry sheet, thawed

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 400°F. Have turkey, vegetables, and broth ready.

  2. 2

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and carrot; cook until softened, ~5 minutes.

  3. 3

Sprinkle flour over vegetables and stir constantly for 1 minute to remove raw flour taste.

  4. 4

Pour in broth and cream. Stir until smooth and thickened, ~3 minutes.

  5. 5

Add turkey and peas. Stir gently to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. 6

Transfer filling to a 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading level.

  7. 7

Place puff pastry over filling. If needed, trim edges and press gently to seal.

  8. 8

Bake until pastry is deep golden brown and filling bubbles at edges, 20–25 minutes.

  9. 9

Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
