Ingredients

  • 4 slice bread slices
  • 1 can (5 oz) canned tuna
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 medium tomato
  • ½ medium cucumber
  • 4 slice cheddar cheese
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven's broiler. Place the 4 bread slices on a baking sheet and toast under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden on one side.

  2. 2

In a bowl, mix the drained canned tuna, 3 tbsp mayonnaise, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

Slice the tomato and cucumber into thin rounds. You'll need about 4 tomato slices and 8 cucumber slices.

  4. 4

Flip the toasted bread so the untoasted side is up. Spread the tuna mixture evenly over each slice, then top with tomato and cucumber slices.

  5. 5

Place 1 slice of cheddar cheese on top of each sandwich. Broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden.

  6. 6

Remove from the oven and let cool for 1 minute before serving warm.
