Ingredients
- 1 loaf (8 oz) baguette or ciabatta
- 1 lb (about 3 medium) ripe tomatoes
- 2 clove garlic cloves
- ¼ cup, loosely packed fresh basil
- 3 tbsp olive oil

Slice baguette diagonally into 1/3-inch-thick pieces.

Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet. Broil 3–4 minutes until golden and crispy on both sides, flipping halfway.

Rub each hot slice with cut garlic clove until fragrant.

Dice tomatoes and transfer to a bowl. Chop basil and add with 2 tbsp olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Spoon tomato mixture onto each toast. Drizzle with remaining 1 tbsp olive oil.
