Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • ½ cup water
  • 12 shells corn or flour taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 2 cups iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup diced tomato
  • ½ cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, until no pink remains, ~6 minutes.

  2. 2

Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.

  3. 3

Warm taco shells in a dry skillet over low heat, ~1 minute per side, or use pre-warmed shells.

  4. 4

Fill each shell with seasoned beef, then top with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a dollop of sour cream.

  5. 5

Serve immediately while shells are warm.
