Ingredients

  • 2 piece salmon fillets
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 piece garlic clove
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 piece green onions

Instructions

  1. 1

Whisk together soy sauce, mirin, honey, minced garlic, and sesame oil in a small bowl to make the teriyaki sauce.

  2. 2

Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon skin-side up and sear 3 minutes. Flip and sear 2 more minutes.

  3. 3

Pour teriyaki sauce into the pan. Baste the salmon as the sauce reduces and thickens for about 2 minutes, until salmon is cooked through.

  4. 4

Serve salmon over rice, drizzle remaining sauce over, and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
