Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic cloves
  • 1 whole (juiced) lemon
  • 8 slices sliced bread (pita or flatbread)
  • 4 medium tomatoes sliced tomatoes

    Whisk tahini, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.

    Slowly add water (start with 3 tbsp) while whisking until the sauce reaches a smooth, pourable consistency.

    Taste and adjust: add more lemon for tang, more garlic for punch, or more salt to taste.

    Transfer to a shallow serving bowl. Warm the bread if desired, then serve alongside the sauce and tomato slices.
