Ingredients

  • ½ lb sushi-grade fish (e.g., tuna or salmon)
  • ½ medium cucumber
  • 1 tsp wasabi paste
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 4 pieces baked crust (e.g., wonton wrappers or puff pastry)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

  1. 1

Dice the 0.5 lb sushi-grade fish into small cubes and place in a bowl. Finely dice the 0.5 cucumber and add to the fish.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, mix the 1 tsp wasabi paste with the 1 tbsp soy sauce until smooth. Pour over the fish and cucumber, then toss gently to coat.

  3. 3

Sprinkle the 1 tbsp sesame seeds over the mixture and stir to combine. Taste and add more wasabi if you like it spicier.

  4. 4

Spoon the tartare onto the 4 baked crust pieces, dividing evenly. Serve immediately, garnished with extra sesame seeds if desired.
