Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup dulce de leche or caramel sauce
Instructions

Whisk flour, brown sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth batter forms, ~1 minute.

Heat a 10-inch nonstick skillet or waffle iron over medium-high until a drop of water sizzles, ~2 minutes.

Pour 0.25 cup batter into the skillet, spread thin with a spatula, and cook without moving until edges are golden and crispy, ~90 seconds.

Flip and cook the second side until light golden, ~60 seconds. Transfer to a plate.

Repeat steps 3–4 with remaining batter to make 3 more wafers. Each batch cooks ~2.5 minutes total.

Spread 2 tbsp dulce de leche on the inside of two wafers, press a third wafer on top. Serve warm.
