5-Minute Stovetop Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup popcorn kernels (or 8 cups popped popcorn)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

    Pop popcorn in a pot or air popper. Divide between two bowls.

    Melt butter, brown sugar, and salt in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly.

    Let caramel bubble 2 minutes without stirring. It will darken and smell nutty.

    Remove from heat. Immediately pour caramel over one bowl of popcorn, stirring fast to coat.

    Transfer to the second bowl and toss again. Spread on a plate to cool and crisp up, 3 minutes.
