Ingredients

  • 2 lbs crab legs, thawed if frozen
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 whole fresh lemon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves, minced

Instructions

  1. 1

Rinse crab legs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Squeeze lemon juice into butter and stir in parsley. Remove from heat and keep warm.

  3. 3

  4. 4

Carefully arrange crab legs in the steamer basket in a single layer. Cover with a lid.

  5. 5

Steam for 4-5 minutes if thawed, or 6-7 minutes if still partially frozen, until heated through and fragrant.

  6. 6

Transfer crab legs to a serving platter using tongs.
