Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 12 oz sushi-grade salmon, sushi-grade or ahi-grade, diced
  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice, warm or room temp
  • 1 whole avocado, sliced
  • 2 whole nori sheets, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds (black and/or white)

Instructions

    Whisk gochujang, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl until smooth.

    Add diced salmon to the glaze and toss gently until every piece is coated.

    Divide warm sushi rice between two bowls, creating a shallow well in the center.

    Spoon marinated salmon and all its glaze into the center of each bowl.

    Arrange avocado slices and nori strips on top, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
