Spicy Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • ¾ cup roasted red peppers (from a jar or can), drained
  • 3 tbsp tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 2 clove garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tsp red chile flakes or fresh red chile, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

    Add chickpeas, roasted red peppers, tahini, garlic, and red chile flakes to a food processor.

    Pulse until roughly combined, then add lemon juice and 2 tbsp ice water.

    Blend on high 60–90 seconds until smooth and creamy, scraping the bowl once halfway through.

    Taste and adjust salt, lemon juice, and heat to your preference.

    Transfer to a shallow bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and serve with pita chips or fresh vegetables.
