- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
- 1 whole green chili, minced
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- ½ cup water
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Mix gram flour, onion, green chili, cumin seeds, and cilantro in a bowl.

Add water slowly, stirring until a thick but pourable batter forms.

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

Pour 0.25 cup batter onto the skillet and spread into a 6-inch round with the back of a spoon.
