Ingredients

  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 whole green chili, minced
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

    Mix gram flour, onion, green chili, cumin seeds, and cilantro in a bowl.

    Add water slowly, stirring until a thick but pourable batter forms.

    Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

    Pour 0.25 cup batter onto the skillet and spread into a 6-inch round with the back of a spoon.

    Cook 3–4 minutes until the bottom is golden and edges curl away from the pan.

    Flip and cook the other side 2–3 minutes until lightly crispy. Serve hot.
