Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb beef sirloin or tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ¾ cup roasted unsalted peanuts
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1.5 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 medium white onions, halved or quartered
  • 2 whole limes
  • 3 tbsp peanut oil or neutral oil

Instructions

    Pulse peanuts, paprika, cayenne, ginger, 1 tsp salt, and 0.5 tsp black pepper in a food processor until coarse.

    Pat beef dry. Toss with 2 tbsp oil and half the peanut spice blend until evenly coated.

    Thread beef onto skewers, alternating with onion pieces. Place on a foil-lined broiler pan.

    Broil 4 inches from heat for 8–10 minutes, turning halfway, until edges char and center is medium-rare.

    Dust skewers with remaining spice blend. Squeeze lime over the top and serve immediately.
