Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 tsp curry powder
- 1 can (14 oz) canned crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar

Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, half the chopped onion, 1 tsp curry powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl until just combined.

Roll mixture into 12–16 balls about 1.5 inches each. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Working in batches, sear meatballs without moving them for 2 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate.

In the same skillet, sauté remaining onion and 1 tsp curry powder for 2 minutes until fragrant.

Add crushed tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, and 0.5 cup water. Stir, then slide meatballs back in.
