Ingredients
- 14 oz (1 block) firm tofu
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 stalks scallions, sliced

Press tofu between paper towels for 2 minutes to remove excess moisture.

Cut tofu into 1/2-inch-thick slabs. Heat oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high until shimmering.

Pan-fry tofu slabs 3 minutes per side without moving until golden brown. Transfer to a plate.

In the same skillet, stir ginger and garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add soy sauce and water, scraping up browned bits. Return tofu to skillet and coat in glaze for 1 minute.
