Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs pork short ribs (flanken-cut, ~1.5 lbs)
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 8 oz daikon radish (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 2 medium potato (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds and green onion (chopped)

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat pork ribs dry with paper towels. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  2. 2

Working in two batches, sear ribs 2 minutes per side without moving until edges brown. Transfer to a plate.

  3. 3

Lower heat to medium. Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant, then stir in soy sauce and brown sugar.

  4. 4

Return ribs to skillet. Add daikon and potato, cover, and simmer 12 minutes until vegetables are tender and ribs are glazed.

  5. 5

Uncover and simmer 2 more minutes to reduce glaze slightly if liquid looks too thin.

  6. 6

Divide between bowls. Drizzle with sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and green onion. Serve hot.
