Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 whole large egg
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp cream of tartar
- 2.5 tsp ground cinnamon, divided

Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix 3 tbsp sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon in a small bowl; set aside for coating.

Cream butter and remaining sugar in a large bowl until fluffy, about 2 minutes with a hand mixer.

Beat in egg until combined. Add flour, cream of tartar, and remaining 1.5 tsp cinnamon; stir until just combined.

Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Roll each in the cinnamon-sugar mixture; space 2 inches apart on a sheet pan.
