Ingredients
- 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- ¾ cup warm water
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp coarse salt
- 1.5 sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ cup milk

Add warm water and stir until a shaggy dough forms. Knead 5 minutes until smooth.

Let dough rest at room temperature 20 minutes until puffy.

Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Pinch off dough into 20 walnut-sized pieces. Arrange on the baking sheet.

Bring 2 cups water and baking soda to a boil in a small pot.

Working in batches, drop 5 dough balls into baking soda water for 30 seconds each.
